Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs) refer to restricted soft tissues (frenula) in the mouth, commonly known as tongue-tie, lip-tie, and cheek-tie. TOTs can impact the function, growth, and development of the jaws, mouth, teeth, and airway. Issues related to TOTs include:

• Infants: Painful breastfeeding, difficulty with breast or bottle feeding, reflux, and failure to thrive.
• Children & Adolescents: Difficulty swallowing solid foods, speech and articulation problems, orthodontic issues, and potential sleep and breathing problems.
• Adults: Snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, neck tension, and headaches.
